Trading Finance Executive (Steel / Iron Commodities) (– MAX S$6,000)

RESPONSIBILITY

• Manage end-to-end trade finance activities, including the issuance, negotiation, and processing of Letters of Credit (LCs), Standby LCs, Bank Guarantees, and Bills of Exchange.

• Act as the primary point of contact between banks, clients, and suppliers to ensure trade finance instruments are processed accurately and on schedule.

• Review and verify trade documentation to ensure full compliance with UCP 600, ISBP guidelines, and other applicable international trade rules.

• Track incoming and outgoing fund transfers, ensuring accurate reconciliation and prompt resolution of any discrepancies.

• Work closely with sales, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure financial documentation is aligned with shipment timelines and requirements.

• Compile and present reports on trade finance operations, bank facility usage, and projected funding requirements.

• Assist with internal and external audit processes related to banking and trade finance transactions.

• Stay current on evolving international trade regulations, sanctions policies, and banking industry standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.

• At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience in trade finance operations, ideally within the commodities or steel trading sector.

• Strong understanding of UCP 600, ISBP, Incoterms, and SWIFT messaging systems.

• Strong command of MS Office (particularly Excel); familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.

• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to coordinate across departments and with external stakeholders.
