Japanese Speaking Service Staff / Assistant Manager | Sushi Restaurant

◆Role Overview:

Our client is a Japanese sushi restaurant serving a predominantly local customer base alongside Japanese-speaking customers. We are looking for a Service Staff / Assistant Manager to provide quality customer service while supporting the smooth operation of the restaurant. The role combines front-of-house service with opportunities to assist with staff coordination and daily management activities. Candidates without prior F&B experience who have a genuine interest in sushi are welcome to apply.

◆Shift

• 3 Rest days per 2 weeks

• Approximately 8 hrs per day

◆Key Responsibilities:
• Provide friendly and professional customer service to local and Japanese-speaking guests.
• Serve food and beverages to customers while maintaining a positive dining experience.
• Assist with basic kitchen operations when required.
• Support the management team with daily restaurant operations.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Handle initial enquiries and operational issues raised by customers in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide guidance and instructions to staff when necessary to support smooth restaurant operations.
• Coordinate with management and escalate operational or customer-related matters when appropriate.
• Support the maintenance of service quality and operational standards.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned.

◆Requirements:

[Must Have]
• Genuine interest in sushi and Japanese cuisine.
• Good communication skills and a hospitality-oriented mindset.
• Positive and friendly approach when interacting with customers.
• Proficiency in Japanese for communicating with Japanese-speaking customers and stakeholders.

[Good to Have]
• Previous experience in the F&B or hospitality industry.
• Experience in customer service or restaurant operations.
• Interest in developing skills in restaurant operations and team coordination.
