Temporary Retail Cashier (6-month contract)

Responsibilities:

• Operate the cashier/POS system and process customer transactions accurately.

• Handle cash, credit/debit cards, e-wallets and other payment methods.

• Issue receipts and assist customers with payment-related enquiries.

• Perform cash counting and reconciliation at the start and end of each shift.

• Ensure the cashier counter is clean, organised and properly maintained.

• Assist customers with general enquiries and provide courteous service.

• Comply with company policies, cashier procedures and loss prevention guidelines.

• Report any cashier discrepancies or irregularities to the Supervisor/Manager promptly.

• Support gift wrapping, packing and other store duties when required.

• Provide assistance with membership, promotions, vouchers and payment enquiries.

• Any other duties which may be assigned by your immediate supervisor/manager from time to time.

Requirements:

• Minimum 'O' Level.

• Previous cashier or retail experience will be an advantage.

• Experience in operating a POS and cashiering system.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Able to handle cash accurately and responsibly.

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Able to commit to the full duration of the temporary assignment.

• Must be able to work 5-day work week on a shift basis, including weekends and Public Holidays.
