Accountant

The role

This role involves managing accounting and finance operations, including processing vendor invoices through RPA systems, overseeing monthly concessionaire closing processes, performing sales and payment reconciliations, and preparing financial reports and balance sheet schedules. You will coordinate with external auditors, manage subsidiaries' accounts, and support financial analysis and budgeting activities.

Responsibilities:

• Process concessionaire vendors' invoice submissions through the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) system, including liaising with vendors to resolve billing issues and working with RPA consultants to enhance automation and process efficiency

• Oversee the monthly concessionaire closing process and ensure its timely completion

• Perform online sales and payment reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and follow up promptly with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely resolution

• Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules, including bank reconciliations, and ensure all accounts are accurately reconciled

• Prepare the monthly Group Flash results by the third working day of each month

• Coordinate and liaise with external auditors during statutory audits, prepare audit schedules, and resolve audit queries in a timely manner

• Prepare financial information and supporting documentation for annual tax filings, and liaise with tax agents on tax-related matters

• Manage the subsidiaries' full set of accounts and assist in overseeing the monthly financial closing activities

• Support the Senior Manager in financial analysis, reporting, and other finance-related projects as required

• Support the budgeting and forecasting process by preparing financial data and analysis

• Any other adhoc duties as and when assigned by immediate Superior

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CA)

• Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in accounting and finance, preferably in a retail or commercial environment

• Hands-on experience in handling full sets of accounts, month-end closing, statutory audits, tax compliance, and financial reporting

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experienced in using ERP/accounting systems

• Experience with automation tools or RPA processes will be an advantage

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills with keen attention to detail

• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities effectively

• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
