Senior IT Lead / IT Supervisor

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior IT Specialist / IT Lead to manage and elevate our IT infrastructure, user support operations, and security posture across a 200-person organization.

Operating remotely from Johor, you will serve as the technical lead and supervisor, mentoring 1 IT Executive while remaining hands-on with systems administration, network reliability, cloud management, and endpoint security.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership & Operations Supervision

1. Supervise, mentor, and task-manage 1 junior IT Executive to ensure prompt ticket resolution and service delivery.

2. Establish IT helpdesk SLAs, escalation workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

3. Balance daily user support tickets with strategic IT projects and system upgrades.

2. Infrastructure & Systems Administration

1. Oversee and maintain company-wide IT infrastructure, identity management (e.g., Azure AD / Entra ID, Microsoft 365), and cloud/SaaS tools.

2. Manage remote endpoint management (MDM) for approximately 200 devices (laptops, mobile devices, hardware provisioning, and deprovisioning).

3. Ensure reliable data backup routines, business continuity, and disaster recovery readiness (3-2-1 backup strategy).

3. Cybersecurity & Compliance

1. Enforce corporate cybersecurity standards (MFA deployment, zero-trust policies, endpoint protection, and patch management).

2. Conduct regular security reviews, vulnerability assessments, and user access audits (Principle of Least Privilege).

3. Serve as the incident responder for high-level technical escalations or security threats.

4. Vendor & Asset Management

1. Manage vendor relationships, hardware procurement, software licensing, and ISP/SaaS service agreements.

2. Maintain a central IT asset register (hardware lifecycle tracking, software subscriptions, and maintenance schedules).
   

   Requirements & Qualifications:

   1. Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, or technical support, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team-lead role.

   2. Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Engineering, or equivalent.

   3. Technical Skills:

      1. Proficiency in Windows/macOS endpoint management and MDM solutions (e.g., Microsoft Intune, Jamf).

      2. Hands-on experience with cloud environments (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, or Google Workspace).

      3. Strong understanding of networking concepts (VPNs, firewalls, DNS, routers, switches, and zero-trust remote access).

   4. Communication: Business-level fluency in English (spoken & written) is required

   5. Soft Skills: High level of self-motivation for remote work, strong troubleshooting capability, and effective communication across non-technical teams.
