Senior/Mechanical Engineer (Construction)

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development and coordination of mechanical building services systems for major construction projects.
• Prepare and review mechanical engineering designs, specifications, calculations, drawings and technical documentation.
• Coordinate mechanical works with architectural, structural, electrical and other building services disciplines.
• Support project planning, site coordination, installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers to resolve technical and project-related matters.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure works comply with approved designs, specifications, safety requirements and relevant standards.
• Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from design through to construction and handover.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Prior experience in building construction projects, preferably within life sciences, semiconductor/wafer fabrication, data centres, commercial or mixed development buildings.
• Experience inbuilding services, M&E or mechanical engineering works within a construction environment.
• Familiarity with mechanical systems, relevant engineering standards, codes and construction practices.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and engineering documentation.
• Proficient in relevant engineering and design software would be advantageous.
