Facilities Engineer (Plant, boiler)

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain plant facilities, utilities, and building services to ensure safe and reliable operations.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot boiler systems, steam distribution, and associated equipment.
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for boilers, pumps, compressors, chillers, HVAC, and other plant utilities.
• Monitor equipment performance, energy consumption, and utility systems to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Coordinate with contractors and service providers for maintenance, inspection, and repair works.
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure equipment complies with safety, environmental, and statutory requirements.
• Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for equipment and utility-related issues.
• Maintain maintenance records, technical documentation, and equipment history.
• Support facility improvement, upgrade, and CAPEX projects.
• Ensure compliance with WSH, environmental, boiler/pressure vessel, and relevant regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in plant facilities, utilities, or industrial maintenance, preferably with hands-on boiler experience.
• Good knowledge of boilers, steam systems, pumps, compressors, HVAC, and plant utilities.
• Experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and contractor management.
• Familiar with relevant safety and statutory requirements for boiler and pressure systems.
• Strong problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
• Relevant boiler / pressure vessel certification or authorised boiler operation experience is an advantage.
