School Gardener (Eco-Garden Maintenance)

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

• Eco-Garden Care: Handle daily sowing, pruning, weeding, fertilizing, watering, and grass trimming across the school eco-garden.
• Botanical Labeling: Systematically catalog and label different plant species for student educational tracking.
• Lesson & Event Prep: Set up raw plant resources for science lessons, school visits, and environmental competitions.
• Logistics Management: Monitor fertilizer/soil stocks and coordinate purchase requests with the Science Department HOD.

Working Hours & Schedule

• Flexible Allocation: Strict cap of 60 hours per month.
• Shift Rules: A 30-minute unpaid lunch break applies if a single work shift exceeds 5 hours.
• Rest Days: No duties required on weekends or gazetted public holidays.

Job Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a professional Gardener.
• Horticultural Knowledge: Strong understanding of tropical plant species, pest control, and specific soil/fertilizer needs.
