School Science Laboratory Assistant (Primary School)

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

• Experiment Preparation: Prepare science resources, apparatus, and equipment for classroom lesson experiments.
• Teacher Support: Assist teachers with resource management and safety enforcement during practical lessons.
• Inventory & Safety: Track laboratory usage, conduct strict safety checks, maintain stock levels, and update inventory logs.
• Green Hub Support: Assist in maintaining the school garden and the automated hydroponics system.

Working Hours & Schedule

• Daily Shift: Mondays to Fridays, 7:30am to 2:00pm (includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break).
• School Holidays: Standby required for designated days (2 days in March/September, 6 days in June/December).
• Rest Days: Off on weekends, gazetted public holidays, and standard school closures.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Education: GCE ‘O’ Level certificate or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Science Lab Assistant in a Singapore school environment.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of primary school science lab apparatus, safety protocols, and basic system logging.
