Application Engineer

The Client of ours is a Global Manufacturer based across USA, Europe and APAC. They are currently expanding their operations in Singapore and is looking for an Application Engineer.

The Applications Engineer provides hands-on technical support to customers, focusing on RF power delivery systems for semiconductor plasma processing. The role involves testing, data acquisition, analysis, trouble shooting, and presenting technical findings to customers and internal teams.

The engineer works closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Engineering to support customer applications, new product development, design wins, and the company’s technical roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Support customer implementation and integration of RF generators, matching networks, remote plasma sources, and integrated RF systems.
• Troubleshoot customer technical issues involving products, plasma processes, and system integration.
• Analyze customer requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
• Monitor industry trends and provide customer insights to guide product development.
• Support new product development, new business opportunities, and design wins.
• Provide technical consulting to customers and internal teams.
• Build strong relationships with customers and cross-functional teams across diverse cultures.
• Maintain basic knowledge of intellectual property, NDAs, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Work safely with high-power and high-voltage electrical equipment.
• Troubleshooting and equipment operation at customer sites.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Semiconductor Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Hands-on semiconductor manufacturing experience with RF or DC plasma.
• Knowledge of electrical instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, DVMs, and LCR meters.
• Experience with LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, or similar tools.
• Understanding of RF/plasma power delivery systems.
• Data analysis experience, including SPC, trend analysis, and DOE.
• Knowledge of vacuum equipment such as pumps, valves, and pressure gauges.
