Vessel Operations (Container Shipping) | Open to Seafarers Transitioning Ashore

Our client is seeking maritime professionals with container vessel experience who are looking to transition from sea-going roles into a shore-based Vessel Operations position. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your operational knowledge while gaining exposure to commercial shipping and vessel management in a dynamic office environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day vessel operations and voyage execution.
• Monitor vessel schedules, port calls, and operational performance.
• Liaise with Masters, agents, terminals, and internal stakeholders on operational matters.
• Support voyage planning, bunker coordination, and operational reporting.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective vessel operations.
• Monitor voyage costs and operational KPIs.
• Resolve operational issues and minimize service disruptions.
• Maintain accurate operational records and documentation.

Requirements

• Certificate of Competency (CoC Class 2) is mandatory.
• Sailing experience onboard container vessels is required.
• Open to Second Officers, or senior ship officers looking to transition ashore.
• Prior shore-based vessel operations experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong understanding of vessel operations, port activities, and voyage execution.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Motivated to build a long-term shore-based career within the shipping industry.
