Job Summary

The Social Media Intern will support social media content planning and execution, video production, campaign management and performance tracking to enhance client brand presence in a hybrid work setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule social media content calendars to align with client campaigns and platform best practices
• Create engaging social media posts and visual assets using design tools to increase audience interaction
• Film and edit videos of varying lengths tailored for different social media platforms
• Manage social media campaigns including meta ads to optimize reach and engagement
• Write clear and adaptable copy for diverse audiences across social channels
• Track and analyze social media performance metrics to prepare reports that guide future campaigns
• Assist with digital marketing initiatives and support PR and campaign activities to maintain consistent brand messaging
• Collaborate with team members during internal brainstorming and client meetings to contribute creative ideas
• Organize and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced agency environment while maintaining attention to detail

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Interest or coursework in communications, marketing, media or related fields
• Prior internship or project experience in social media or public relations
• Proficiency with major social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok
• Familiarity with content creation and design tools like Canva and image editors
• Experience with video filming and editing, including use of cameras and editing software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to express ideas clearly and adapt messaging
