As a Staff Nurse in our paediatric practice, you will be central to delivering safe, high-quality clinical care while ensuring smooth daily operations. You will work within a diverse, close-knit team to support doctors in providing paediatric and allergy testing services to our community.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care & Support
- Patient Assessment: Conduct patient triage and comprehensive nursing assessments, providing appropriate nursing advice and monitoring patient progress.
- Doctor Assistance: Assist doctors during consultations and clinical procedures.
- Clinical Procedures: Perform blood taking, specimen collection, wound care, and ECGs.
- Medication Management: Administer and dispense medications, injections, and vaccinations as prescribed.
- Patient Education: Provide education and counselling to patients and families regarding medical conditions, medications, and preventive care.
Care Coordination & Administration
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation of all patient care and files.
- Referrals & Investigations: Coordinate and follow up on referrals, radiology bookings, and pathology requests to ensure continuity of care.
- Communication: Attend to pre- and post-consultation enquiries via phone, email, or messaging platforms.
Clinic Operations
- Readiness: Prepare consultation rooms and ensure clinical readiness, cleanliness, and adherence to infection control standards.
- Inventory: Monitor and manage medication and consumable stock levels to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Front-End Support: Assist with appointment scheduling, billing, and general administrative requests as needed.
Job Requirements
- Qualifications: Minimum Diploma in Nursing or equivalent with a valid SNB Nursing Registration.
- Certifications: Must be paediatric BCLS and AED certified.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
- Skills: Strong clinical competency, professional interpersonal skills, and proficiency in nursing procedures.
- Attributes: A self-motivated team player with a friendly, service-oriented disposition.
