IT Technical Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Develop reliable and maintainable software.
• Follow coding and engineering standards.
• Review requirements and provide technical feedback.
• Design and build cloud-native applications.
• Provide project estimates and join Agile/Scrum meetings.
• Maintain technical documentation.
• Support non-functional testing.
• Conduct design and code reviews.
• Guide junior team members.
• Provide Level 3 production support.
• Investigate and resolve application issues.
• Work with vendors on technical deliverables.
• Review vendor solutions and ensure they meet company standards.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in Java/J2EE and cloud-native development.
• At least 3–4 years of experience with cloud-native development, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
• Experience with streaming technologies or Hadoop is an advantage.

Functional Skills

• Understanding of payment processing and cash management systems.
• Good knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with Agile and Scrum.
• Knowledge of software design methods.
• Experience with payment processing systems is an advantage.
• Experience working with complex and distributed systems.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Java/J2EE.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Integration and IoC.
• Experience with Spark Streaming or similar tools.
• Knowledge of messaging platforms such as IBM MQ, RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Helm, Argo CD, Jenkins, GitLab Runner, Nexus, Harbor, Maven or Gradle.
• Experience with GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket.
• Experience with TDD/BDD and testing tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, Selenium or SoapUI.
• Knowledge of Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of HBase and MongoDB is an advantage.
• Knowledge of application design, development, testing, deployment and support.
• Experience with UML and impact assessment.
• Experience with Shell scripting and tools such as Ansible.
• Experience with performance tuning and fault-tolerant systems.
• Knowledge of Go, Rust or Python is an advantage.
