Job Summary

The Pre-school Teacher creates a secure, trusting learning environment that supports children’s holistic development through culturally appropriate curricula, strong family partnerships, and active participation in centre and community initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with children to foster a secure and supportive learning environment
• Apply health, safety, nutritional, and hygiene standards consistently to ensure child well-being
• Guide children’s social and emotional growth and build their confidence through targeted activities
• Deliver core early childhood education values through organized events and interactions
• Develop and maintain respectful, trusting relationships with children to support their development
• Review and adapt teaching and learning approaches aligned with Curriculum Frameworks to enhance educational outcomes
• Establish and maintain effective home-centre partnerships to support children’s learning and development
• Design and maintain quality learning environments that stimulate engagement and growth
• Demonstrate understanding and alignment with the centre’s vision, mission, and values in daily practices
• Exhibit ethics and professionalism in all interactions and responsibilities
• Participate actively in centre initiatives and programmes to contribute to organisational goals
• Collaborate on projects with school stakeholders to enhance educational delivery and community engagement
• Engage in continuous learning and reflective practices to improve teaching effectiveness
• Foster positive workplace relationships and teamwork to support a collaborative culture
• Assess and respond to the learning and developmental needs of children from birth to age 8
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively and document children’s learning progress accurately
