Role: Solution Architect - Banking
BANKING INDUSTRY BACKGROUND IS MUST
Solution Architect with a strong background in the Banking and Financial Services sector, covering Core Banking, Application, Infrastructure, Cloud, Integration, and Security Architecture
The candidate should be capable of designing and governing end-to-end technology solutions across complex banking environments and working closely with business, application, infrastructure, security, operations, and vendor teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design end-to-end enterprise solutions across Core Banking, Applications, Infrastructure, Cloud, Network, Security, Integration, and Data.
- Translate business and technical requirements into Solution Architecture Documents, HLDs, integration designs, deployment models, and technical blueprints.
- Architect scalable, resilient, secure, and highly available solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Support Core Banking transformation and modernization initiatives, including integration with payment systems, treasury, lending, deposits, digital banking, middleware, APIs, and external platforms.
- Provide architecture guidance for application modernization, infrastructure refresh, cloud migration, technology upgrades, and data centre transformation.
- Define and review architecture requirements covering HA/DR, performance, capacity, backup, monitoring, network, security, and operational readiness.
- Lead technical reviews, architecture governance, risk assessments, vendor evaluations, and solution approvals.
- Work closely with project teams through design, implementation, migration, testing, and production rollout.
- Ensure solutions comply with applicable banking security, regulatory, risk, and audit requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale, enterprise-grade solutions (on-premises and cloud).
- Strong understanding of application architecture, integration patterns, and data modelling.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Proficient in designing RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
Certifications
- TOGAF, AWS/Azure/GCP Solution Architect, or other relevant certifications.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Network and Security Architecture.
- Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks and standards (e.g., MAS, PCI DSS, ISO 27001).
- Exposure to data governance, data lake, or advanced analytics platforms.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience in the banking, finance, or highly regulated industries.
- Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and ITIL processes.
