Join a well-established global MNC where you will work closely with the Manufacturing, Operations, Maintenance, EHS and Quality teams to optimise manufacturing processes, improve operational efficiency and support safe and reliable plant operations at Jurong Island.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate daily production processes to ensure high-quality products and achieve production and financial objectives.
Oversee and assess existing processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement.
Identify process bottlenecks, conduct investigations and recommend practical solutions.
Work closely with other departments on site to minimise non-conforming materials and maximise production capacity.
Provide process engineering support to improve plant quality, capacity and SHE performance.
Develop and track process metrics to identify improvement opportunities and monitor upgrades.
Support the development of process design and construction activities for capital projects under supervision.
Implement and monitor initiatives under the energy improvement plan.
Optimise productivity by designing, implementing and testing new procedures.
Prepare reports documenting process status, changes, findings and improvement proposals for management.
Review and renew operational capacity and strategy based on historical production data.
Develop operating instructions, risk assessments and training materials for production activities.
Provide guidance to less experienced staff and contribute to departmental KPIs.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Process Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 2 years of process engineering experience in chemical manufacturing or petrochemical.
Experience in process improvement, manufacturing operations or plant production environments.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Knowledge of chemical process hazards, process safety principles, risk assessment methodologies, and SHE & QA systems.
Experience with SAP or equivalent systems would be an advantage.
Professional certifications such as Six Sigma, HAZOP or other engineering-related certifications would be advantageous.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with Operations, Maintenance and other cross-functional teams.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to process safety, quality and operational excellence.
