Senior Java Developer / Technical Lead

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer/ Technical Lead to join the technology unit. The candidate will drive the design, development, and delivery of robust enterprise backend applications and microservices for high-availability digital banking and core operational platforms. This role involves hands-on development, solution architecture alignment, technical review, and team leadership to ensure reliable, secure, and timely production deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Design & Technical Delivery: Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and downstream system owners to translate complex business requirements into technical architectures and execution plans.

• Backend Development: Lead end-to-end hands-on design, microservices architecture, REST API development, and automated processing frameworks for critical systems (e.g., payments, inquiry engines, e-services).

• Engineering Standards & Code Quality: Perform code reviews, maintain engineering and technical specifications (e.g., EDD, RFF), enforce secure coding standards, and ensure high test coverage through UAT to production deployment.

• Security & Compliance Remediation: Manage application security findings, proactively remediate web/API vulnerabilities (including XSS, CSRF), and maintain compliance with enterprise security scans.

• System Optimization & Reliability: Design error-handling, automated retry, and alerting frameworks to improve operational resilience and failure visibility across distributed systems.

• Team Leadership & Mentoring: Guide and direct technical team members, assign tasks, conduct peer reviews, and troubleshoot complex production issues.

Key Requirements & Competencies

Technical Skills:

• Core Backend Technologies: Strong technical background in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring Batch, and ORM frameworks (Hibernate).

• Microservices & Integration: Proficient in designing RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and batch job processing engines.

• Data Management: Hands-on experience with relational databases (Oracle SQL, Stored Procedures) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).

• Build & Deployment Tools: Familiarity with Java application servers (JBoss, Tomcat, WebLogic), dependency managers (Maven), and version control systems (Git, Bitbucket).

• Security Practices: Knowledge of secure application development, vulnerability remediation (OWASP standards, XSS, CSRF), and security scan resolution.

Experience & Capabilities:

Experience & Professional Background:

Minimum 10 years of hands-on software development experience with Java, enterprise backend applications, and microservices architecture.

Demonstrated experience acting as a Technical Lead or Senior Developer delivering multi-region enterprise digital applications or web portals.

Strong track record in stakeholder collaboration, requirement analysis, technical documentation, and production release support.

Solid analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills in high-concurrency production environments.
