Project Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our civil engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects to ensure they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise day-to-day site operations and construction activities.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and relevant authorities.

• Monitor project progress and ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.

• Prepare project documentation, reports, method statements, and work schedules.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and statutory requirements.

• Review engineering drawings and provide technical support to site teams.

• Monitor project costs, material usage, and resource allocation.

• Attend site meetings and provide regular project updates to management.

• Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation measures.

• Assist in project planning, procurement, and contract administration activities.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

2. Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in civil engineering or construction projects.

3. Strong knowledge of construction methods, project management, and engineering principles.

4. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

5. Familiarity with local building regulations and safety requirements.

6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.

7. Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
