Technical Manager (networks & systems)

Our client, a Singapore-based value-added distributor SME established in 2004, is seeking to grow its operations by recruiting a capable Technical Manager for the technical team. The company focuses on delivering niche networking and cybersecurity solutions, backed by professional expertise in both presales, service delivery and post-sales technical support.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of engineers to provide presales support and implementation for networking and cybersecurity solutions — staying hands-on with configuration, troubleshooting, and delivery alongside the team, not purely in a supervisory capacity.
• Provide technical team management and resource allocation for project implementations.
• Provide system solution proposals in both networking and cybersecurity solutions and systems documentation for turnkey projects and tender submission.
• Ensure in-house IT systems are up-to-date and well maintained.
• Work directly on multi-year client projects from design through to implementation and support.

Requirements:

• Min Diploma in IT or equivalent
• Experience in designing, managing and implementing networks and system architecture of multi-vendor infrastructure including: LAN L2/L3 switches, Firewall, HP, Wireless vendors' product/ DNS, DHCP, LDAP, RADIUS & AAA servers/ Windows/ Linux/ UNIX OS environments/ NMS, Patch management, SIEM/ Cybersecurity applications including DLP, Data Backup, Endpoint security, Antivirus, EDR, HSM, KMS, etc. (Experience in ALL the above skills is not mandatory.)
• Min 5 years of networking and security project implementation and project coordination experience
• Min 2 years of managing a team, while remaining technically hands-on
• Comfortable working on long-cycle projects (1–2 years) and adaptable to continuously learning new vendor technologies
• Singaporean only - for CAT1 government clearance
