Job Summary

The Kindergarten Care Support Staff supports daily Kindergarten Care operations by assisting staff in child supervision, maintaining a safe and stimulating environment, and ensuring smooth classroom routines.

Responsibilities

• Assist Kindergarten Programme Staff in supervising and caring for kindergarten children to ensure their safety and well-being
• Prepare and maintain a clean, safe, organised, and engaging learning environment that supports children’s development
• Execute daily classroom routines such as taking attendance, supervising meals, supporting hygiene practices, managing rest periods, and facilitating smooth transitions
• Follow organisational policies, child safeguarding requirements, health and safety procedures, and regulatory standards to maintain a secure and compliant environment
• Collaborate effectively with team members and follow instructions from supervisors to support centre operations
• Support children physically during daily routines and classroom activities to promote their comfort and participation

Requirement

• Ability to comply with organisational policies, child safeguarding practices, and health and safety procedures
• Passion for working with children and supporting their care and development
• Caring, patient, responsible, and attentive to children’s needs

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Certification requirements

• English language proficiency at O-Level (at least C6), N(Academic) Level English Grade 4
• IELTS (Academic) 5.5, SPM certificate (equivalent to O levels) or Workplace Literacy Series (WPL) (SOA 6; Reading, Listening, Speaking & Writing)
