Customer Engineer

Role and Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical & business account interface, building trust and strong relationships with customers, foundry & business partners to understand their specific technical requirements and business goals
• Manage and facilitate communication through emails, conference calls & customer visits. Leverage cross-platform instant messaging tools (including WhatsApp, WeChat) to provide real-time support across multiple time zones, ensuring rapid response times for critical customer issue escalation.
• Oversee project documentation, including project schedules, technical summaries and meeting minutes for management review
• Organise meetings with Customers, Foundry & business partners & act as the primary communication channel.
• Drive decision-making with appropriate stakeholders, anticipating and eliminating technical roadblocks to resolve customer issues efficiently.
• Provide full support and deliver excellence to meet & exceed customer requirements.

• Candidate must be a highly motivated and technically proficient Customer Engineer. As the primary interface between CompoundTek and our key customers, foundry& business partners, you will support the technical team in new business engagements & product introductions (NPI) from tape-out to mass production, ensuring seamless communication & act as the voice of the customer.
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering, Materials Science, Physics or related field.
• At least 2 years relevant experience in a similar customer-facing role in a semiconductor foundry.
• Prior experience in Yield Engineering, Process Integration, Technology Development, Module Engineering or similar technical Foundry role will be an added advantage.

• Proficiency in Mandarin is required to communicate with customers who can only speak Mandarin.

• Will be based in Singapore but must be able to travel.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with customers and internal & external senior management. Exhibit Initiative, tact, ownership, accountability and be a team player.
