Job Summary

As a Trade Executive (Freight Forwarding / NVOCC), you will manage daily NVOCC operations, coordinate shipments, ensure regulatory compliance, and support business development to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily NVOCC operations by accurately issuing Bills of Lading and managing shipment documentation to ensure smooth cargo movement
  • Coordinate import and export shipments with freight forwarders, carriers, and internal teams to achieve timely delivery
  • Manage cargo space bookings with feeder operators and mainline vessel operators to optimize shipment schedules
  • Monitor shipment status and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including timely permit declarations, cargo clearance, and delivery
  • Maintain accurate documentation and enforce adherence to company policies and internal control procedures
  • Support the implementation and review of compliance processes and operational controls to mitigate risks
  • Develop and sustain business relationships with existing customers and assist in new business development activities to grow revenue
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) through effective operational and sales support
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports on sales performance, customer accounts, and operational activities for management review
  • Support marketing initiatives related to shipping services to enhance company visibility and customer engagement
  • Monitor daily operational workflow to maintain service standards and meet customer expectations
  • Perform inventory tracking and related administrative functions to support operational accuracy

Required competencies and certifications

  • Basic knowledge of import/export procedures, shipping documentation, and regulatory compliance to ensure operational accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications to manage documentation and reporting efficiently

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or related discipline
  • Strong coordination and communication skills to facilitate collaboration in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational setting
