Job Summary
The Security Officer will maintain a safe and secure environment within SPH premises by conducting patrols, monitoring systems, managing access, responding to incidents, and supporting safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine patrols of the building, compound, and restricted areas to ensure security
- Monitor CCTV and alarm systems to detect and respond to security threats promptly
- Manage access control for staff, visitors, and contractors to maintain authorized entry
- Respond quickly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, or unusual activities
- Perform bag and vehicle checks as required to prevent unauthorized items or access
- Maintain accurate incident reports, visitor logs, and security records for accountability
- Support evacuation procedures and safety drills to ensure preparedness
- Ensure compliance with company security policies and regulatory requirements
- Assist with traffic control and carpark management when applicable
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to SPH security policies and code of ethics
- Report conflicts of interest and avoid misconduct, including sleeping on duty or equipment misuse
- Maintain neat and proper grooming standards consistent with company expectations
Required competencies and certifications
- Hold a valid PLRD Security Licence as required for operations
- Be physically fit to perform patrol duties effectively
- Demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility and integrity
- Communicate clearly in English to perform security duties and coordinate with others
- Be able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Previous security experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
Other Information
Working Hours / Shift Structure Choose one based on your needs: Option A – 12-Hour Shift:
- 7am – 7pm / 7pm – 7am
- 2 off days per week (or 2+2 cycle)
Option B – 8-Hour Shift (Preferred):
- Morning: 7am – 3pm
- Afternoon: 3pm – 11pm
- Night: 11pm – 7am
Salary & Allowances (Sample)
- Basic Salary: $2475– $2905
- Night Duty Allowance: $200 per night shift
- Overtime Pay: According to MOM guidelines
- Meal Allowance: Included

Probation Period

- Refrain from misconduct, sleeping on duty, or misuse of equipment
- Maintain neat and proper grooming standards
- Report conflicts of interest immediately
