Senior Food Safety / FSMS Consultant

Role purpose: Lead food-safety management projects and convert regulatory or operational requirements into practical systems that clients can implement and maintain.

Key responsibilities

· Conduct food-safety and FSMS gap assessments.

· Develop or improve HACCP-based FSMS, prerequisite programmes, monitoring systems and corrective-action processes.

· Advise restaurants, caterers, central kitchens and manufacturers on practical food-safety controls.

· Review implementation evidence and coach client teams through corrective actions.

· Lead internal food-safety audits and implementation reviews.

Typical deliverables

· FSMS gap analysis report.

· Food Safety Management System plan/manual.

· Implementation roadmap and corrective-action plan.

· Internal audit report and follow-up tracker.

· Management briefing and implementation workshop.

Mandatory appointment standard

· WSQ Food Safety Course Level 4 or recognized equivalent competence for Singapore FSMS work.

· Demonstrated competence in HACCP-based food-safety systems.

· At least 5 years of relevant food-safety/quality experience.

Preferred qualifications / credentials

· Degree/diploma in food science, food technology, public health, microbiology or related discipline.

· HACCP certification from a recognized provider.

· ISO 22000 lead auditor or internal auditor training.

· Experience with SFA-licensed establishments.

Experience guideline

· Grade A normally 8+ years; Grade B may be appointed for narrower workstreams with 5+ years.

Training capability

· Expected to be able to coach client teams. ACLP/ACTA or equivalent adult-learning credentials are preferred if delivering formal Eduquest training.
