SFA Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Role purpose: Interpret current Singapore food regulatory requirements and advise clients on practical compliance pathways for food-service, manufacturing, import and related activities.

Key responsibilities

· Review business models against current SFA requirements.

· Advise on food-shop, catering, central-kitchen and relevant food-business licensing requirements.

· Identify compliance gaps in premises, processes, documentation and food handling.

· Advise on import/food regulatory requirements where within competence.

· Track regulatory developments relevant to assigned projects and flag changes.

Typical deliverables

· Regulatory gap assessment.

· Compliance roadmap.

· Licence-readiness checklist.

· Regulatory requirements matrix.

· Written technical opinion with assumptions and limitations.

Mandatory appointment standard

· Strong current working knowledge of Singapore food regulation and SFA licensing/compliance practice.

· At least 5 years of relevant Singapore regulatory, food-safety, QA or consultancy experience.

· Ability to cite and work from current primary regulatory sources.

Preferred qualifications / credentials

· Degree/diploma in food science, food technology, public health, law/regulatory affairs or related field.

· Former regulator, compliance lead or senior QA experience.

· WSQ FSC Level 4 where FSMS advice is included.

Experience guideline

· Normally 7+ years for Grade A; highly specialised former regulators may be appointed based on demonstrated expertise.

Training capability

· May deliver regulatory briefings and industry updates; adult-learning credentials preferred for formal courses.
