The Role: Chef

Contemporary cafe-restaurant is looking for a culinary professional who loves executing beautiful plates, creating rich umami profiles, and working with modern café ingredients.

Key Responsibilities

1. Menu Execution: Cook and plate the following types of dishes according to strict brand standards:

• Hearty Western Mains
• Signature Pastas
• Brunch & All-Day Breakfasts
• Fresh Fuel Bowls and Salad

2. Mise En Place: Prep daily ingredients, sauces, and proteins before service.

3. Station Management: Set up, clean, and maintain cooking stations and fryers daily.

4. Inventory Control: Monitor ingredient stock levels and check incoming supplier deliveries.

5. Hygiene Compliance: Follow SFA guidelines, monitor fridge temperatures, and practice FIFO storage.

Qualifications

• Experience: Prior experience in commercial kitchen operations, cooking Western cuisine, or executing cafe menus is preferred.
• Skills: Strong sense of food hygiene, plating presentation, portion control, and ability to keep up during peak brunch/dinner rushes.
• Mindset: Positive attitude, willing to learn new techniques, responsible, and a highly cooperative team player.
