Food Service Assistant | Healthcare | up to $13/hr - AA

Our client, a well-established healthcare organisation in Singapore, is looking for responsible and service-oriented individuals to join their team as Food Service Assistants.

In this role, you will support the daily meal service operations and ensure patients receive their meals accurately and on time. If you enjoy working in a healthcare environment, interacting with people and being part of a supportive team, we welcome you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and evening tea to patients.
• Collect food trays, crockery and cutlery after each meal service.
• Plug in AGV food trolleys at the wards to keep food warm and collect late-order meals or meal changes from the kitchen.
• Assist in taking and collating meal orders from patients and visitors.
• Communicate dietary changes with kitchen staff and assist with service recovery when necessary.
• Act as a buddy to new staff when assigned by the Team Leader or Supervisor.
• Perform minor housekeeping duties, including cleaning spillages on over-bed tables and packing clean cutlery.
• Attend daily roll calls, briefings, monthly department meetings and required training sessions.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Team Leaders and Supervisor.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to speak and write English.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a pleasant disposition and neat appearance.
• In good physical health.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity preferred.
• Must be physically fit as the role requires a lot of walking.
• Able to work shifts and perform overtime duties when required.
• Able to push heavy-duty food trolleys as part of the job.
• Must be comfortable working in a children's environment, as the role involves serving children.
