Role Overview
The Performing Artiste delivers live entertainment, vocal, dance, or musical performances across scheduled productions and venue events. This role collaborates with creative directors, stage managers, and technical crews to execute polished routines, entertain patrons, and uphold high artistic and presentation standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Rehearsals & Performance Execution
- Deliver engaging live vocal, dance, musical, or theatrical performances according to venue programming and event schedules.
- Attend and participate actively in all scheduled rehearsals, vocal warm-ups, blocking sessions, and sound checks.
- Memorise musical arrangements, choreography routines, lyrics, and stage scripts accurately and promptly.
- Adhere strictly to performance call times, cue sheets, and production run times to ensure shows begin on schedule.
Stagecraft & Technical Collaboration
- Coordinate closely with the Stage Manager, sound technicians, and lighting crew to execute stage cues, entrances, and exits seamlessly.
- Maintain professional presentation, including stage grooming, costuming, makeup, and prop handling in line with show themes.
- Perform routine checks of personal performance equipment (e.g., microphones, in-ear monitors, instruments, costumes) prior to showtime.
- Adapt quickly to live stage contingencies, cue adjustments, or unplanned performance changes.
Venue & Operational Standards
- Maintain stage safety and situational awareness, adhering strictly to venue health and safety guidelines.
- Interact professionally with guests and patrons in accordance with house rules and hospitality standards during venue activations.
- Provide constructive input during debriefs to refine routine execution and improve overall show quality.
Requirements
- Proven background as a live performer, vocalist, dancer, musician, or entertainer in live venues, theatrical shows, or event productions.
- Strong stage presence, artistic versatility, and performance stamina.
- Ability to learn and execute new repertoire, choreography, and performance cues quickly under tight timelines.
- High level of professionalism, discipline, and punctuality.
- Flexibility to work shift hours, including late nights, weekends, and public holidays, aligned with venue performance schedules.
