Senior Credit Officer

Job Overview

Oversee credit approval, review, and portfolio monitoring activities, ensuring sound credit risk management and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

1. Credit Assessment & Approval

• Oversee credit approval and review processes for loans.

• Evaluate financial statements, credit reports, financial models, and credit risks.

• Provide balanced risk perspectives to business teams.

2. Portfolio & Risk Management

• Monitor the performance and quality of the credit portfolio.

• Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and applicable requirements.

• Support credit risk initiatives and special projects as required.

3. Team Support

• Mentor and guide junior credit approvers and analysts.

• Work closely with business teams and Head Office on credit matters.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in credit risk, corporate/institutional/commercial lending, or portfolio management.

• Strong knowledge of credit principles, financial analysis, risk management, and banking practices.

• Good understanding of regulatory requirements and credit rating methodologies.

• Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Proficiency in spoken and written Chinese to communicate effectively with Head Office colleagues in Taiwan.
