Social Worker (FSC)
About this job
We are looking for a Social Worker to support individuals and families through the provision of professional casework, counselling, and community-based interventions. This role involves working closely with clients and community partners to assess needs, develop and implement care plans, and deliver appropriate support services, while ensuring ethical practice and adherence to professional standards and organisational policies.
Key Responsibilities
Casework and Counselling
Conduct casework and provide counselling services to individuals and families.
Develop, implement, monitor, and review case plans and intervention strategies.
Engage clients and relevant stakeholders in a professional and therapeutic manner to assess needs and goals.
Advocacy and Collaboration
Advocate for vulnerable individuals and families to support access to appropriate services and resources.
Work collaboratively with community partners and stakeholders to promote equal opportunities and holistic support.
Assessment and Intervention
Participate in client and community assessments, group work, and specialised interventions to address identified needs.
Community Networking and Outreach
Network and collaborate with community partners and stakeholders.
Support outreach efforts, needs assessments, and the planning and delivery of relevant programmes and services.
Programme Development and Research
Identify service gaps based on client needs and recommend improvements to existing programmes.
Participate in and support research and evaluation activities where relevant.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Graduate Diploma in Social Work.
1 to 3 years of relevant working experience in social work or related settings.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and engagement skills.
Ability to communicate in a second language is an advantage.
Good organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage caseloads effectively.
