Commodities Broker

Our client is a global commodity risk management and financial solutions firm looking for a hunter-minded Commodities Broker who is strong in OTC hedging and risk management to drive business growth across Southeast Asia.

The Role

• Hunt and win new clients across SEA, building a strong pipeline through networks, referrals and proactive business development.
• Develop relationships with commodity traders, producers, processors and corporates exposed to commodity price volatility.
• Understand clients’ market exposure and commodity price risks and translate these into tailored OTC hedging and derivatives solutions.
• Work closely with internal trading and risk teams to structure and deliver appropriate solutions.
• Build long-term relationships with senior decision-makers and grow existing accounts.
• Stay close to commodity markets and identify new commercial opportunities.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years in commodities brokerage, derivatives sales, commodity trading, risk management or a related field.
• Strong technical understanding of OTC hedging, derivatives and commodity risk management.
• Proven hunter / new-business development track record.
• Strong network across SEA commodity markets.
• Able to confidently discuss market exposure, risk and hedging strategies with sophisticated clients.
• Commercially driven, entrepreneurial and consultative in approach.
• Willing to travel and work flexible hours when client requirements dictate.
