Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end purchasing activities, including RFQ, sourcing, PO issuance, order amendments and delivery follow-up.
- Manage purchasing requirements for projects, production and subcontract/outside services.
- Coordinate closely with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery and achieve OTIF targets.
- Work closely with Planning, Production, Engineering, Quality and Finance teams to resolve purchasing, material and PO/WO discrepancies.
- Monitor material requirements and proactively identify potential supply shortages or delivery risks.
- Develop sourcing strategies and negotiate pricing, lead time, commercial terms and supply agreements with suppliers.
- Drive cost reduction, lead-time improvement and supplier performance initiatives without compromising quality.
- Monitor key and critical supplier performance and follow up on corrective actions where required.
- Coordinate material deliveries to support production and project schedules.
- Maintain accurate supplier, material, pricing and purchasing databases.
- Prepare and automate purchasing reports, data analysis and KPI tracking to support management decision-making.
- Participate in material reviews and follow up on outstanding supply issues.
- Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies, procedures and governance requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Business or related discipline.
- Relevant experience in Purchasing / Procurement / Sourcing.
- Prior experience within an OEM manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience supporting production/manufacturing purchasing, including materials, components, subcontracting or outside services.
- Good experience in supplier management, sourcing, negotiation and PO management.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in purchasing reports, data analysis and KPI monitoring.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems will be advantageous.
- Able to work effectively with Production, Planning, Engineering, Quality and Finance stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving, communication and supplier management skills.
