Responsibilities
- Take ownership of on-site activities, including system installation, configuration, validation, commissioning, and performance testing at domestic and international customer sites.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and operational constraints throughout the deployment lifecycle.
- Develop and run simulation models to optimize system design, operational throughput, and deployment strategies.
- Analyze simulation results and convert findings into actionable improvements in system performance and efficiency.
- Lead technical decision-making while balancing real-world site constraints, scalability, system capabilities, and customer requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive system checks to ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation, including system architecture, deployment procedures, commissioning records, and operational documentation.
- Work directly with customers to understand operational requirements and translate them into scalable Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) solutions.
- Support solution architecture activities, including workflow development, system integration, fleet management/orchestration, and deployment planning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues involving robotics hardware, ROS navigation, PLCs, control systems, and integrated software platforms.
- Develop and conduct structured training sessions to equip customer teams with the knowledge required for successful system operation and adoption.
- Maintain comprehensive commissioning records, including Site Acceptance Test (SAT) reports, inspection checklists, and field observations.
- Continuously identify and implement opportunities to improve AMR performance, reliability, operational efficiency, and user experience.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product development, and technical support teams to resolve issues and enhance solutions.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with customer operations, engineering, and maintenance teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in robotics, industrial automation, autonomous systems, or industrial technology.
- Basic knowledge of robotic systems, including actuators, sensors, control systems, and related components.
- Proficiency in Robot Operating System (ROS) and Python programming.
- Strong hands-on technical capabilities, including mechanical assembly, soldering, crimping, wiring, and equipment integration.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer-facing skills.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environments.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively, with approximately 70% field-based work and 30% office-based work.
