Senior Field Service Engineer (Electrical Equipment Manufacturing)

Responsibilities
- Ensure all field service activities are conducted in compliance with applicable safety regulations, quality requirements, and company policies.
- Lead and participate in system commissioning and project acceptance activities at customer sites.
- Provide technical support during factory testing and acceptance activities for specialized projects.
- Investigate engine and equipment failures, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend effective corrective and preventive solutions.
- Provide timely after-sales technical assistance and on-site service support to distributors, dealers, and end customers.
- Perform preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and equipment servicing to minimize failures and maintain optimum system performance.
- Prepare and maintain accurate service reports, maintenance records, troubleshooting logs, and other field-service documentation.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of power generation products, systems, technologies, applications, and related services.
- Mentor, supervise, and provide technical guidance to junior field service engineers and other technical personnel.
- Develop and deliver technical training programs for distributors and dealers covering equipment servicing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair procedures to ensure consistent service standards.
- Assess and evaluate the technical capabilities and service competencies of distributors and dealers, identifying areas for improvement where necessary.
- Maintain effective communication and coordination with customers, engineering, sales, customer support, distributors, and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to the development and enhancement of service processes, procedures, and technical standards.
- Undertake other field service, technical support, training, and aftermarket-related responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, with at least 10 years of relevant experience in field service, power generation, engines, or related equipment.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the Asia-Pacific and Southeast Asia regions.
- Strong presentation, communication, interpersonal, and technical reporting skills.
- Strong customer-service orientation with a proactive and professional approach.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm and technical interest in power generation systems and products.
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, problem-solving, and mentoring capabilities.
