Sales Manager, Generator (Electrical Equipment Manufacturing)

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities by engaging prospective customers, key decision-makers, influencers, and target accounts. Evaluate potential opportunities by analyzing market trends, customer requirements, commercial needs, and available solutions.
• Work closely with local, regional, and global teams to secure new business through compelling sales presentations, proposals, negotiations, and value-based selling approaches. Develop long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers across various organizational levels.
• Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with end customers, industry influencers, consultants, contractors, and other key stakeholders through direct engagement and collaboration with distribution partners.
• Build and manage a robust sales opportunity pipeline, working with sales teams and customers to progress opportunities through each stage of the sales cycle until successful closure. Ensure all customer, opportunity, and project information is accurately maintained in CRM and sales management systems.
• Develop sales forecasts, business plans, and volume targets for the Southeast Asia (SEA) market.
• Partner with sales and distribution teams to determine the appropriate channel strategy and level of distributor involvement required to successfully secure projects and business opportunities. Provide guidance on pricing, quotation, and commercial strategies.
• Identify and support the evaluation and development of strategic alliances and partnerships to expand the company's solutions, products, services, and market reach.
• Provide first-line technical and marketing support to distributors, dealers, and channel partners as required.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• At least 8 years of relevant sales or business development experience within the power generation or power solutions industry.
• Demonstrated success in both direct and channel sales, with a strong track record of achieving business growth and revenue targets.
• Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior executives and key decision-makers.
• Strong commercial drive, competitive mindset, and proven ability to achieve results in a challenging business environment.
• Strong team player with the ability to build effective relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and traveling frequently across the region.
